Statement on amendment to Abortion Method Ban

Columbus — Statement from NARAL Pro-Choice Ohio Executive Director Kellie Copeland on 5th hearing for Senate Bill 145 in the Ohio House Committee on Criminal Justice: “The Abortion Method Ban is an unconstitutional infringement on Ohioan’s access to critical medical care. Today’s technical amendment did nothing to change the sponsor’s intent — to block patients from accessing safe and legal abortion care in the second trimester. The Ohio House needs to stop SB 145 from moving forward.”
